Makrinitsa, the "balcony of Volos", is a beautiful resort, 17km. from the city of Volos and 12km. from the ski resort of Agriolefkes, over the village of Hania. There is a small number of small hotels, mountain hostels and fully restored traditional houses, called "archontiko" with spectacular views.
